Shooting is rugged and plentiful in this part of the Highlands. We do not have driven shoots but in season guns can be bought to shoot Grouse over dogs, Ducks & Geese, and walked up Rough shooting over dogs for grouse, snipe, pheasant and partridge.

Every Gamekeeper will have their own views on when the shooting is best on their ground but the following is a rule of thumb guide for this part of the world and shooting may be found outside of these times.


Best times to shoot:

  Grouse - Mid August to mid September

  Duck - September to December

  Geese - November Rough Shooting late September to December
