Day 7
Head south down the West coast towards Ullapool. Visit Handa Island , internationally famous for its sea-bird colonies , at Tarbert, near Scourie. Just a little further south is Kylesku where you can catch a boat to visit the Kerrachar Gardens . Inaccessible by road or footpath the garden is home to over 1500 different plant varieties.

You will be traveling through Scotland’s first Geopark awarded by UNESCO to the area. At Inchnadampf caves, tunnels and underground streams are highlights of the reserve. Knockan Crag geological trail and visitor centre, just outside Elphin, is one of the top Earth science sites in Scotland.

As you get to Ullapool try the Ceilidh Place for an overnight stop that offers a true taste of local culture and hospitality.

Day 8
Finish the journey to Inverness or maybe stay a while longer to explore more of the Highlands & Islands.
