A small request
Visitors to the countryside are welcomed
throughout Caithness and Sutherland. While much of the land may
look wild, a range of land management uses contribute to the rich
variety of wildlife present, and to sustaining jobs in the sparsely
populated areas.
When exploring please
consider these uses and ensure that any access taken is done so
in a responsible manner. This is particularly true when stalking
is taking place between 1 July and 20 October (stags) and 21 October
and 15 February (hinds), and also during lambing in April and
early May.
At all times please follow the country code and remember
to keep your dog under control.
