In line with the recent government announcement, we are open and are currently taking new reservations for stays and dining.

We've always been good at staying 'ship-shape' but over the coming months we'll adjust to new ways of doing things so that our care is more visible than ever at the hotel, while ensuring you have the time and space to be at your happiest. Helping you find these moments is, and always will be, at the heart of what we do.

There will be some adjustments to your stay or visit - some very obvious (like prominent hand sanitising stations), and others are more discreet in terms of our own cleaning procedures. We have developed a SEVEN POINT PLAN to help you understand some of the steps we are putting in place. Additionally, we will be taking steps to minimise crowding and to offer added reassurance. These steps include:

1. Your registration form and room key will be in your room when you arrive and a friendly member of our arrivals team will direct you to your bedroom.

2. There will be two sittings for breakfast and dinner - to allow for spacious, leisurely dining.

3. Your bill will be emailed to you prior to departure.

While these are small changes, they will be a big help when it comes to reducing unnecessary paperwork - you will be able to get started on your stay straight away! For guests visiting to drink or dine, we will collect all contact details.

We're really proud to have been awarded the “We’re Good To Go” certification. This is the official UK mark that confirms we are successfully following the Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines for cleanliness and aid social distancing.

It's fair to say: we're in unusual times. It's understandable if you are feeling concerned or anxious about making bookings in the future. We are here to take bookings and we want to reassure you that they can be made risk-free. If you feel like you need to escape for a short break to reconnect and indulge, you can make a booking and cancel if you need to; please just allow 48 hours' notice.

Our cancellation policy allows you to book now, and pay nothing until you check out (direct bookings only). If you can't make it, you change your mind, or situations change beyond our control, you can cancel - please just allow 48 hours' notice. This means that you can cancel any accommodation booking without any costs at all. Please email any booking enquiries: stay@forsshousehotel.co.uk .

We genuinely appreciate your support. If you need to cancel your stay, we will also offer you the chance to reschedule. We'll be honest: the hospitality industry has been hit hard by this crisis, but with your support, we'll bounce back. Please consider rescheduling rather than cancelling.
